I’m Nervous!

Less than a week to go until Identity Theft hits the shelves next Tuesday, May 14th. I’m nervous!

I’m flying today to Seattle for a gathering of the May Meaning Meeting – a group of academics that have been meeting for more than 10 years – people who want to stay centered on how to make a difference with their work and lives. I can’t believe it was 5 years ago when I shared my book idea with them and they gave me critical encouragement to get started!

I’m VERY nervous as I’m doing a presentation there by myself. It’s not only hard to get the words out, but presentations really challenge my “identity journey” – I still want to give them the way I did before my stroke. It’s so frustrating that I can’t, and it’s hard to follow my own advice and “look forward not back.” Will do my best.

And therapy continues! I worked on Monday with Pam and Carrie at Neuro Wellness in Emeryville, and we paused to take a picture with fellow survivor Dave. Survivors – don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t keep improving for years!

If you are looking to buy a copy of Identity Theft, you still have time to pre-order here.
